Playlist Generator
One seed in, a full playlist out. This playlist generator takes a single song or artist and builds a 10, 20 or 30-track list from real listening behavior — copy it, open it, regenerate it.
Pick Song or Artist, choose a length, press generate.

Building a playlist by hand means an hour of tab-switching and second-guessing. A playlist generator collapses that hour into one seed: type a song you love (or an artist), pick a length, and the engine assembles the list from the listening behavior of millions of real people — songs that actually get played together, not a random shuffle.
Two seeds work differently, and both are one click away. A song seed grows the playlist outward from that exact track — same energy, adjacent era, familiar neighbors. An artist seed builds a weighted mix: mostly the seed artist's best-known songs, then its three closest neighbors, then the wider scene, so a Radiohead seed never returns twenty Radiohead songs. Every result is a list you can copy in one tap and open on any platform.
How the playlist generator works, in three steps
The playlist generator goes from one seed to a finished list in under a minute — no account, no upload, no manual curating.
- 1
Choose your seed
Switch between Song and Artist, type the name, and add the artist for a song seed to pin the exact track the playlist generator grows from.
- 2
Pick a length
Ten tracks for a quick set, twenty for the default playlist, thirty for the long haul. The mix weights stay the same.
- 3
Generate, then make it yours
Copy the track list with one tap, open any song on Spotify or YouTube, or regenerate for a sibling mix of the same seed.
When a playlist generator beats making one by hand
Hand-picking works for labor-of-love lists. These moments call for a generator.
The commute starts now
No time to curate: one seed, one click, and the generator hands you a list that lasts the ride. The playlist generator is built for exactly this moment.
A themed set for tonight
Dinner, drive, workout — seed the mood with one defining song and let the behavior graph fill the room.
You only know one artist
New to a genre with a single name to go on: the artist-seed mix maps the scene around them instantly.
Writer's block in your own library
Your hand-built lists all sound the same. A generated playlist from a forgotten favorite breaks the pattern.

Methodology & limits
How this playlist generator builds your list
Where the tracks come from, how the mix is weighted, and what it will not pretend to do.
The behavior data behind the playlist generator
A song seed asks the behavior graph for the fifty tracks real listeners play most alongside your seed, then filters for diversity: no duplicates, the seed itself excluded, and at most two songs per artist so one band cannot eat the list. An artist seed works one level up — it pools the best-known songs of the seed artist and its closest neighbors, then interleaves them by fixed weights: roughly thirty percent seed artist, forty-five percent the three nearest acts, twenty-five percent the wider scene.
The mix is deterministic, which is why the Regenerate button rotates the interleave instead of rolling dice: you get a sibling of the same list — same ingredients, different order and emphasis — rather than an unrelated reshuffle. Copy the track list and it is yours to keep, paste into any player, or send to a friend.
What the playlist generator cannot do
It builds lists from recorded music that already exists — it will not compose, generate songs, or read your private streaming history. The only input is the seed you type. Very niche seeds can return a shorter list than requested when the behavior graph runs thin, and brand-new releases with little play history appear rarely.
The playlist generator also saves nothing: no account, no stored playlists, no history to manage. If you want to keep a generated list, use the copy button — the playlist generator treats every visit as a fresh start.
Four ways to get better playlists
Small habits that sharpen every playlist generator result.
Seed with a defining song
The track that made you love an artist anchors a more coherent list than a random album cut.
Use artist seeds for scenes
Song seeds stay close to one sound; artist seeds map a whole neighborhood. Match the seed to the goal.
Regenerate before you judge
One rotation of the same mix often surfaces the sleeper track the first pass buried at position twenty.
Copy, then prune
The fastest workflow: generate thirty, copy the list, delete the five you skip — the playlist generator drafts, you edit.
Playlist generator — frequently asked questions
What people ask before their first playlist generator run.
How long can the generated playlist be?
Ten, twenty or thirty tracks — pick the length above the generate button. Thin seeds occasionally return slightly fewer when the catalog runs out of good neighbors.
Does the playlist generator need my Spotify account?
No. Nothing connects to any account: the seed is typed, the list is generated from listener behavior, and every track opens as a plain search link on your platform of choice.
What is the difference between song and artist seeds?
A song seed grows outward from one track. An artist seed builds a weighted mix of that artist and its neighbors — a broader, more varied playlist.
What does Regenerate do?
It rotates the deterministic mix: same ingredients and weights, different order and emphasis — a sibling of your playlist, not a random reshuffle.
Is it free?
Yes — the playlist generator is completely free, with no sign-up, quota or subscription.
Can I keep the playlist?
Copy the track list with one tap and it is yours — paste it anywhere, keep it forever. The tool itself stores nothing.
