Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what happens to information when you use FindSong. The short version: we do not require accounts, we do not store your searches, and we collect as little as possible.

Searches

When you submit lyrics, keywords or a song name, the input is sent to our search endpoint, processed to produce results, and then discarded. We do not persist your queries to a database, we do not link them to an identity, and we do not build search profiles. Without accounts there is nothing to attach them to.

Analytics

If analytics is enabled, we record aggregate events such as page views, searches submitted, successful results and clicks on streaming links. These events include coarse metadata only — for example the length of a query, never its content. We never send the lyrics or keywords you type to analytics.

Cookies and local storage

The site may use a small amount of browser local storage to remember interface state (such as a song handed off between tools during the same visit). These values are not transmitted or stored server-side. If third-party analytics or advertising scripts are enabled, they may set their own cookies as described in their policies.

Third-party services

Song metadata, artwork and recommendations are retrieved from third-party music data services, and result links point to Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music. When you follow those links, the destination site's own privacy policy applies.

Children

FindSong is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated date at the top of this page will change with it. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
