Spotify's shuffle has a personality: it favors some songs, repeats stretches, and seems to forget others exist. A Spotify Randomizer with real randomness fixes that. Copy your playlist as text, paste it here, and this tool deals the same tracks into a genuinely uniform new order — every track exactly as likely to land anywhere, no favorites, no memory.

Be clear about what happens (and what does not): this is paste mode. The Spotify Randomizer never asks to connect your account, never reads your library, and never edits a playlist inside Spotify — it shuffles the text you paste and hands it back. "No Spotify login required" is not a limitation here; it is the design. Your list is shuffled in your browser and nowhere else.

Spotify Randomizer — Mische deine Playlist in three steps

The Spotify Randomizer goes from copied list to shuffled list in under a minute — no login, no export tool, no data leaving your device.

  1. 1

    Copy your playlist

In Spotify, select the tracks (Ctrl/Cmd+A in a playlist) and copy them, or copy your exported list — any "Title - Artist" lines work.

  2. 2

    Paste and randomize

Paste the lines into the box and press the button. The Spotify Randomizer cleans numbering, drops duplicates and shuffles the rest.

  3. 3

    Copy the new order

The shuffled list is one tap from your clipboard — paste it wherever you rebuild the playlist, or draw again for another order.

When you need a Spotify Randomizer

These are the moments the Spotify Randomizer beats the built-in shuffle.

  • Shuffle keeps dealing the same ten

Your 300-track playlist somehow cycles forty songs. A uniform reshuffle puts every track back on the table.

  • A fair order for a game night

Music quiz, drinking game, karaoke queue — a cryptographically random order is the only arbiter nobody can accuse.

  • Rebuilding a playlist from scratch

You are re-sequencing a mess of a playlist. Start from a truly random order and promote the keepers.

  • DJs and quizmasters

Need random segments of a prepared list? Shuffle the paste, take the first ten, repeat — random sets with no repetition.

What to paste

Input for the Spotify Randomizer is deliberately forgiving.

Methodology & limits

What this Spotify Randomizer does — and does not do

How the shuffle works, what "no login" means, and where the honest limits sit.

How the Spotify Randomizer shuffles

The engine is a textbook Fisher–Yates shuffle driven by crypto.getRandomValues — the browser's secure random source. Every one of the n! possible orders is exactly equally likely, which is precisely what "truly random" means and what weighted, history-aware shuffles are not. Lines are cleaned first: leading track numbers are stripped, duplicates dropped, empty lines ignored.

Everything runs locally in your browser. The Spotify Randomizer performs no server round-trip with your list, stores nothing, and keeps no history — reload the page and the slate is clean. That is what makes "no login required" honest rather than marketing.

What the Spotify Randomizer will not do

It will not connect to your Spotify account or rearrange a playlist inside the app — that would need OAuth permissions this tool deliberately skips. The bridge is copy and paste: Spotify lets you select and copy all tracks in a playlist in seconds, and pasting the shuffled order back into a new playlist takes about as long.

It also cannot enrich the lines you paste: if a line is just a title, the shuffle moves titles; it does not fetch artists, artwork or play counts. The Spotify Randomizer does exactly one thing — a fair, uniform reshuffle — and does it entirely on your device.

Four ways to get more from the Spotify Randomizer

Small habits for faster, cleaner reshuffles.

  • Copy the whole playlist at once

Click any track in the playlist, Ctrl/Cmd+A, Ctrl/Cmd+C — the fastest possible feed for the Spotify Randomizer.

  • Shuffle into a fresh playlist

Paste the shuffled result into a new playlist rather than over the old one — keep the original as a backup.

  • Trim before you shuffle

Delete the lines you never want to hear first; the randomizer shuffles what is there, not what you wish was.

  • Draw twice for A/B sets

Two shuffles of the same list give two independent orders — handy for splitting a queue across rooms.

Spotify Randomizer — frequently asked questions

What people ask before their first reshuffle.

Does this need my Spotify login?

No — and it never asks. The Spotify Randomizer works entirely on the text you paste, in your browser. No account, no permissions, no connection.

Does it change my playlist inside Spotify?

Not directly. It returns a shuffled order you copy; pasting it into a new Spotify playlist takes seconds and keeps you in control.

How is this different from Spotify's shuffle?

Spotify's shuffle is weighted and history-aware. This is a uniform Fisher–Yates draw — every possible order is exactly as likely, with no favorites.

What formats can I paste?

Title - Artist lines (any dash), numbered exports, bare titles, or Spotify track links — the randomizer cleans and shuffles them all.

Is it free?

Yes — the Spotify Randomizer is completely free, with no sign-up, quota or subscription.

Is my list uploaded anywhere?

No. The shuffle runs locally in your browser; nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored.
